PRODUCT & HAIR QUALITY

Our premium human remy hair extensions can last for up to 9 months when professionally fitted and cared for correctly.

The lifespan of your extensions will depend on your maintenance routine and how well they are cared for.

With regular maintenance and the correct aftercare, Volumize extensions are designed to remain soft, smooth and beautiful throughout their lifespan.

Double drawn hair is thick and full from root to tip.

During the manufacturing process, shorter hairs are removed so that the finished hair has a consistent thickness throughout the length. This creates fuller, more luxurious ends and a beautifully natural finish.

Double drawn hair uses more of the longest strands, making it a higher-quality and more premium option than single drawn hair, which has naturally tapered ends.

Remy hair means the cuticles are kept intact and aligned in the same direction from root to tip.

Keeping the cuticles aligned helps the hair feel smoother, softer and more natural while reducing tangling.

This is one of the reasons Remy hair is considered a premium choice for hair extensions.

Nano Tip hair extensions are a discreet, pre-bonded extension method featuring an ultra-small tip that is secured to the natural hair using a Nano Ring.

Nano Tips are the smallest of the pre-bonded extension methods, making them an excellent choice for creating a natural-looking result. Their small, lightweight attachment makes them particularly well suited to finer hair and areas where a more discreet application is required, such as around the front of the hair.

When professionally applied and correctly maintained, Nano Tips can provide beautiful, natural-looking length and volume with an attachment that is virtually invisible when worn.

Stick Tip, also known as I-Tip hair extensions, are a popular pre-bonded extension method that is applied using micro rings or copper tubes, without the need for heat or glue.

The hair extension is secured to the natural hair using a small ring or tube, creating a discreet and secure attachment. When correctly applied and maintained, Stick Tips can typically be worn for around 8–12 weeks before needing to be removed and reapplied.

This method is a great option for clients looking for a heat-free and glue-free application, and can be particularly versatile for creating natural-looking length and volume.

Genius Wefts feature an ultra-thin, flexible weft track designed to sit discreetly against the natural hair for a seamless, natural-looking finish.

They are lightweight, flexible and exceptionally comfortable to wear, making them a popular choice for adding beautiful length and volume. The fine weft track allows the extensions to blend seamlessly with the natural hair, creating a virtually invisible finish when professionally applied.

Genius Wefts are also a versatile option for creating fullness throughout the hair and can be combined with other extension methods where required to achieve a bespoke result for each client.

Volumize offers three professional extension methods, each designed to suit different hair types and desired results.

Nano Tips feature a small, discreet silicone tip and nano ring, making them an excellent choice for clients wanting a lightweight and virtually invisible application.

Stick Tips are applied using a micro ring or copper tube and require no heat or glue, making them a versatile and gentle option.

Genius Wefts feature an ultra-thin, flexible weft designed to sit discreetly against the head while providing beautiful volume and movement.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT HAIR

The amount of hair required will depend on your client’s natural hair density, desired length, volume and the extension method being used.

As a general guide:

Nano Tips: 4 packs for fine hair, 6 packs for medium-density hair and 8 packs for thick or short hair.

Stick Tips: 4 packs for fine hair, 6 packs for medium hair and 8 packs for thick or short hair.

Genius Wefts: 1–2 packs for fine hair, 2–3 packs for medium hair and 3–4 packs for thick or short hair.

Choosing the right hair extension method depends on several factors, including the client’s natural hair type, condition, desired result, lifestyle and maintenance preferences.

Our team is happy to offer professional advice and help you choose the most suitable method for you or your client. We can also provide guidance on colour matching, length, application method and aftercare to ensure you achieve the best possible result.

If you’re unsure which method is right for you or your client, simply get in touch with our team — we’re always happy to help.

We recommend matching the extensions to your client’s mid-lengths and ends, rather than the root colour.

Our shades have been carefully created and blended to provide natural-looking colour matches.

If you are unsure which shade to choose, we recommend using our colour ring or contacting us for professional colour-matching advice.

Yes, absolutely. Mixing extension methods can be a great way to create a bespoke result for your client, particularly when different areas of the hair require different levels of coverage or discretion.

For example, you can use Genius Wefts through the main body of the hair for volume and fullness, with Nano Tips around the front for a discreet finish.

Combining methods allows you to tailor the application to your client’s natural hair, density and desired result. As a professional stylist, you can choose the combination that works best for each individual client.

Yes. Our range includes discreet methods designed to work beautifully with finer hair.

Nano Tips can be particularly suitable for clients with fine hair when fitted correctly and using an appropriate amount of hair.

Your client’s natural hair condition and density should always be assessed before choosing an extension method.

If you regularly fit hair extensions, we highly recommend having a Volumize Colour Ring to hand.

It allows you to compare shades directly against your client’s hair and helps you achieve a more accurate colour match before ordering.

AFTERCARE & MAINTENANCE

Absolutely! Proper aftercare is essential for keeping hair extensions looking beautiful, maintaining their quality and helping to maximise their longevity.

Our Aftercare page provides detailed guidance, helpful tips and product recommendations to ensure you have everything you need to care for your extensions correctly — whether you’re a professional advising your client or a client looking after your extensions at home.

We recommend following these guidelines throughout the life of your extensions to keep the hair looking and feeling its best.

Hair extensions require a little extra care and attention compared to your natural hair. While you can wash, style and maintain your extensions as you would your own hair, it’s important to follow the correct aftercare routine to help keep them looking and feeling their best.

We recommend using hydrating, extension-friendly products, limiting the use of heated styling tools and always using a heat protection product. Avoid sleeping with wet hair and take extra care when brushing, washing and styling to prevent unnecessary tangling or damage.

With the right care and attention, your extensions will stay soft, healthy-looking and beautiful for longer.

Our extensions are made from 100% human hair and have been professionally coloured to create our carefully developed shade range. For the best results and to preserve the quality and longevity of the hair, we strongly recommend choosing the closest shade from our colour ring rather than colouring or toning the extensions.

While the hair can technically be coloured, this may affect its condition, texture, colour and longevity. If colouring or toning is considered necessary, it should always be carried out by a professional colourist following a strand test.

Please note that once the extensions have been coloured, toned or otherwise chemically treated, Volumize cannot accept responsibility for any changes to the hair or its quality.

We recommend washing your hair extensions 2–3 times per week to help keep them clean, fresh and looking their best.

Avoid over-washing, as this can strip the hair of its natural moisture and leave it feeling dry. Always use products specifically designed for hair extensions and follow the recommended aftercare routine to help maintain their softness, shine and longevity.

Regular maintenance is essential for keeping your extensions looking beautiful and protecting your client’s natural hair.

Maintenance appointments will vary depending on the extension method and your client’s individual hair growth and needs.

We recommend following the appropriate maintenance schedule for the method used and having extensions professionally maintained and removed by a qualified stylist.

We recommend using a hydrating shampoo and conditioner specifically suited to hair extensions. This will help keep the hair feeling soft, nourished and looking healthy.

We also recommend using a weekly conditioning treatment to provide extra moisture and help maintain the softness, shine and overall condition of your extensions.

Always avoid applying conditioner or treatments directly to the bonds or attachment points.

To help keep your hair extensions looking and feeling their best, there are a few things we recommend avoiding:

  • Overuse of heated appliances – Excessive heat can cause the hair to become dry and brittle. Always use a heat protection product and keep heat styling to a minimum.
  • Going to bed with wet hair – Wet hair is more fragile and can be prone to tangling and matting while you sleep. Always ensure your hair is completely dry before going to bed.
  • Leaving your hair to dry naturally – We recommend gently blow-drying your hair rather than leaving it to air dry, particularly around the attachment areas.
  • Swimming with your hair exposed to water – Chlorine and salt water can dry out and affect the condition of your extensions. We recommend avoiding getting your extensions wet when swimming. If contact with water is unavoidable, take extra care to protect and thoroughly rinse and dry your hair afterwards.

Yes. Volumize extensions are made from premium human hair and can be styled using heated tools such as straighteners, curling wands and curling tongs.

Always use a quality heat protection product and avoid applying excessive heat directly to the bonds.

For the best results and longer-lasting hair, we recommend limiting frequent heat styling wherever possible.

We recommend washing extensions gently around 2–3 times per week.

Shampoo should be applied gently from root to tip without rubbing or twisting the hair. Conditioner and treatments should be applied to the mid-lengths and ends, avoiding the bonds.

Always thoroughly dry the hair and bonded areas after washing and never sleep with wet or damp extensions.

For our complete aftercare guide, please visit our Hair Extension Aftercare page.

We recommend avoiding swimming whenever possible, particularly in chlorinated pools, hot tubs and salt water, as chlorine and salt can dry the hair and may affect the bonds.

If your client does swim, we recommend tying the hair into a loose braid beforehand and rinsing it thoroughly with clean water afterwards.

Always follow the recommended aftercare routine and ensure the hair and bonds are completely dry afterwards.
